Maud Karlsson Lima de Faria is a Swedish interdisciplinary artist whose work moves between performance, sculpture, wearable art, film and installation. Rooted in the body and shaped through material, her practice explores transformation, identity and the human experience through poetic and often unexpected encounters.

 

For more than four decades she has worked professionally as a dancer, choreographer, educator and artist. Eleven years in New York profoundly shaped her understanding of the body as both artistic material and lived experience.

 

Today she develops exhibitions, performances, socially engaged projects, and wearable artworks through her platform MaudsArt.
