Photography

Photography allows me to approach the body and the individual in a more direct way. I am interested in the tension between what a photograph reveals and what remains unseen. The camera can become a way of looking, remembering, documenting or questioning.

Across works such as The Naked Truth, Crevices and the portraits from HER STORY – Origins, I return to the body, identity, vulnerability and memory. I also work with the photographic image through silk screen printing, where the image is translated into another material and process.
