The Question

What happens to a story that has never been or needs to be told? Perhaps again and again.

The Project

I SAID NO is an ongoing participatory artwork created together with women who have experienced sexual violence or situations where consent was ignored.

Each participant anonymously entrusts me with two things:

a pair of underwear

and a story.

Neither is displayed as evidence.

Together they become part of a growing sculptural installation.

Entrusted

The stories begin with other women.

Entrusted to me, they are transformed into a shared sculptural work.

Each pair of underwear is embroidered or painted by hand before being placed together with the anonymous story inside a glass block.

Protected.

Visible.

Together they become the building blocks of a collective work.

This work is not about reliving trauma. It is about transforming silence into a shared presence.

Why Underwear?

Underwear is the closest layer to the body.

It carries intimacy, vulnerability and memory.

Here it becomes something else.

A witness.

A voice.

A refusal that can finally be seen.

Participate

If you wish to participate, you are invited to anonymously send:

• a cleaned pair of underwear that represents your story

• a written account of an experience where consent was ignored

No names.

No places.

Everything remains anonymous.
