Sculpture & Objects
Sculpture and objects allow me to give ideas a physical presence. I am drawn to the space between the familiar and the unexpected — an object can be beautiful, humorous, provocative or unsettling, sometimes all at once.
The body is often the starting point. Dresses become sculptural bodies, masks become faces, and familiar objects can be transformed into something that asks to be looked at differently. Materials range from everyday and reclaimed materials to silicone, textiles, pastries, paint and found objects.
Works include sculptured dresses from HER STORY – Origins, Bak(elsen), masks, golden body sculptures and transformed everyday objects.
Below are a few examples.
